I achieved quite a few little trips this week. The first was a long walk across Burrard Bridge, taking lots of photos as I went:

I went on quite a few excursions last week. The first was walking across Granville Bridge to take photos of the view I always see when I’m on the bus:
Not much to report this week. I did do some exploring of Kitsilano and ventured to a few places I hadn’t been before which proved to be a great spot for views of Downtown Vancouver, as evidenced below:
Not a lot been going on here. The weather has been glorious, if a little too hot for my tastes! so in between walking the streets dropping off resumes I have managed some trips to the beach – pics below.
I was without internet for most of last week, which is why I skipped posting last Sunday. There has been quite a bit going on, though not much in the job line.
There was Greek Day, in my Kitsilano neighbourhood – a celebration of all things Greek with delicious food on offer, musical performances, craft stalls and people in costume, like those below:
There wasn’t a great deal going on last week. Job-hunting of course – and I started a new temp job this week – and visiting Bowen Island. I did take some applications outside and filled them in on top of hill near the beach, so those are the first pics, and then some from Bowen – including a snake that was just lying on the ground and then started to move as I took a photo.
At the beginning of last week, in what seems a distant time when it wasn’t raining constantly, I went on a walk around Kitsilano. Following random roads I found myself walking through some parks and eventually arrived at Granville Island and came across some very cute baby geese. Pics below:
Another terribly short entry this week. I’ve finally moved out of my place in North Vancouver to one in Kitsilano, which is much more vibrant and close to everything, including the beach, so I’m hoping it will be a better fit. Still job-searching but at least having time to write in the downtime.
Hopefully I’ll have something more interesting to share next week!
This has been a fairly relaxing week. The sun has been shining almost constantly and as my job finished last week and my temping agency hadn’t got anything for me I decided to take this past week off. I’ve been catching up on my emails (as some of you will be glad to see!) and doing some exploring around Vancouver. I even managed to catch up with some of the other people that flew over on my flight, and it looks like things are all go for me moving to Kitsilano.
There were two major places that I explored this week and where I took the most photos. The first was The Lost Lagoon, a man made area of Stanley Park which hosts a large variety of animals and birds (I had my first raccoon sighting there, as evidenced below) and also Dundarave, a sea-side village in West Vancouver where I explored a little and had lunch on the beach.
The sun has finally made an appearance here in Vancouver, meaning I was able to go out walking and exploring over the weekend, though no pics of any substance. On Saturday I was wandering around the Kitsilano area where, fingers crossed, I may be moving to at the end of the month, depending on whether the apartment I go see on Monday is any good. And on Sunday I was following one of the nature trails in North Vancouver.
I finished my temping job on Friday so now I have to set up something else with my temping agency and see what else is out there. I’m going to treat the time not working as an unexpected holiday though until something comes up.
Till next week…
