Stonebridge City Farm has been a lovely place to visit during all sorts of iterations of lockdown in England. They’ve lost a lot of money having to keep opening and then closing again so if you could donate a little something here that would be great. Over the gloriously sunny Early May Bank Holiday weekend I paid a trip to Stonebridge City Farm to see the lambs, but they also had some young calves and a seriously inquisitive cockerel.
The Norwegian Folk Museum showcases life in Norway from 1500 to the present. Although I was aware that this is largely an open air museum with historic buildings that have been relocated here (160) I was struck by how vast the place is and the amount of information on display. As well as exhibits in the main building you can enter many of the historical buildings and explore further exhibitions.
On what turned out to be a surprisingly sunny day in October we headed out to Stonebridge City Farm which, as the name suggests, is right in the heart of Nottingham City. The barn was erected in 1980 and the first animals to be housed there were 2 goats, but it is now home to a range of animals from chickens to cows and horses, as well as gardens and a small nature trial.
