I went on a tour of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as part of Open House London. This was one of my I’m in the area so let’s see what it’s about picks and it turned out to be very interesting. The School was founded in 1899 and based elsewhere but their present home dates from 1926, officially opened in 1929.

Throwback Thursday: Leamington Spa Railway Station
Leamington Spa Railway Station was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1852 but this Art Deco designed station replaced it in 1939 and the station was Grade II listed in 2003.

Nottingham Council House
One day last October I decided to take advantage of the free guided tours that are on offer for the Council House in Nottingham, a building I’d never stepped foot in before.
