Throwback Thursday: Liverpool Town Hall

Liverpool Town Hall, base for the Lord Mayor, was built in 1749 and designed by John Wood.

The dome of the building is topped by a statue of Minerva, the Goddess of Wisdom.

      It really does – I had a great time when I was there just wandering and exploring the architecture.
