Witness for the Prosecution at County Hall, London

I don’t generally write up my theatre visits here however I decided to make an exception for Witness for the Prosecution since it is performed in such an interesting location. I’ve read the play and seen other productions – film and TV – but never on stage which is why I was so keen to see it on my last London trip. Rest assured however there will be no spoilers here, though I will say this is Agatha Christie at her best.

Lace Market Theatre Tour

As part of Nottingham Light Night 2019 the Lace Market Theatre was offering behind the scenes tours and as this is a local theatre that I keep meaning to visit but haven’t got around to (I promise I’ll go see something there this year!) we thought it would be a nice change of pace to the normal Light Night activities.

The Ibsen Museum, Oslo

Please note photos have been removed due to lack of hosting space. 

When I visited the Ibsen Museum I’d read A Doll’s House and seen Hedda Gabler on stage but otherwise wasn’t that familiar with Henrik Ibsen (I’ve since sought out a few more productions of his plays in London which have been really interesting). The museum is in the apartment he lived in with his wife from 1895 to his death in 1906 and gave a very good primer into his life.
