Back in May we made a return visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park (you can read about our first visit here). Then, as now, we found it to be an excellent day out and well worth the entrance fee. Since our last visit they had added some new animals which were a real highlight – three new polar bears to make four in total, plus some armadillos which we’d never seen before and which I had no idea moved quite so fast!
Here is a small selection of the animals we saw.
Last time we came the tigers weren’t nearly as active as they were on this day, so it was a real treat to see them exploring their surroundings.
These lions were roaring really loudly as we walked around, and I think this is probably the first time I’d actually heard lions making any sort of sound. Again, they were much more active than the last time we visited.
You can find a lot more of my photos from this trip, and the previous visit to the Wildlife Park here.
