The Royal Courts of Justice

I spent a lot of time on my last London trip around Fleet Street and the Strand and one of my favourite buildings to photograph was most definitely the Royal Courts of Justice. It’s a large Victorian Gothic building which was built in the 1870s and opened by Queen Victoria in 1882.

Strawberry Hill House

I think I must have read about Strawberry Hill House on one of those lists of unusual things to do in London which I often reference. It was the home of Horace Walpole, son of England’s first Prime Minister and the author of The Castle of Otranto, the Gothic novel which was inspired by his home.
