Stonebridge City Farm, Nottingham

I’m a fairly regular visitor to the farm though I haven’t found time to visit since this trip in the spring. There were lots of baby animals, my favourites definitely being the very cute piglets, called Truffles and Penelope.

Some of my other favourites include this very inquisitive goose

and this lovely silkie hen. It’s name comes from its fluffiness which is said to feel like silk and satin (I’ve not tried this for myself however!)

There are also always lots of very cute lambs in the spring, who all seem intent on eating the grass that is hardest to reach.

The rabbits were also outside rather than in the barn as they ususally are this visit so it was nice to see them out and about.

The farm is free to visit but as a registered charity they are always in need of donations. I usually buy some of the excellent honey either made by the own bees or other local hives but if you’d like to help out from afar you can find donation details on their website. You can find more photos here.
