Bodafon Farm Park, Llandudno

I knew when researching ideas for this trip that I wanted to visit some places I hadn’t been to before and that I wanted to visit somewhere relating to animals. On our previous trip we went to the Welsh Mountain Zoo which is excellent but basically impossible to get to by public transport. But my researches lead me to Bodafon Farm Park which I hadn’t come across any mention of on our last visit to Llandudno.

I walked here by going along the length of the promenade and then turning right at the paddling pool and heading up Nant-Y-Gamar Road before turning left and following Bodafon Road to the farm. It was a lovely sunny day and a pleasant walk and as the farm is up a hill the walk there provided great views of the area, including the distant pier.

The farm is surprisingly big and had some lovely animals you can get quite close to. There was food to buy in the shop for the animals but I didn’t purchase any – much to the obvious disappointment of the goats!

Other animals included llamas and horses, pigs and deer all spread through a very nice looped walk around the farm.

My other reason for coming here was because The Owls Trust are also based on the farm, but for that you’ll need to wait till next week. You can find more photos of the farm here.
