Bush House, London

Bush House is a Grade II listed building that stands very imposingly at the end of Kingsway Road between Aldwych and the Strand. It was the headquarters of the BBC World Service for over 70 years. King’s College London has now leased the building.

It was designed by American architect Harvey Corbett, financed, and named, by Irving T Bush, head of an Anglo-American trade organisation that was the first residents of the building. The statues symbolise Anglo American friendship sculptured by American artist Malvina Hoffman.
