Snowy Nottingham

Since much of the UK is blanketed by snow again (though not Nottingham at the moment) I thought I’d share some of the pictures I took a few weeks ago of Nottingham Castle and the statue of Robin Hood from when we had a snowy deluge of of our own.

Nottingham Castle – a 17th century ducal mansion built on the site of the original Medieval Castle.

The Robin Hood statue stands in the remains of the castle’s moat. It was given to Nottingham by EF Clay Esquire on 28th June 1949.
